The movie blog that's not even as clever as it looks
I have never seen this film. I may now see this film.
The sequel was much better. Seriously.
Controversial, Colin. I'd have to disagree, but not so much that I wouldn't kill for a third.
Sam Rockwell is in this one. So is Crispin Glover. And Bill Murray. Amazing.
AND TIM CURRY! Oh.
I have a Samsung blu-ray player and I don't know if all blu-ray players are the same, but mine has complex firmware which when you insert a disc goes "OMG what the F**K is that! Tum ti tum ti tum. I'd better find out what it is. I'm sure I've a routine somewhere. Tum ti tum ti tum. Amuse yourself for a while. Can't rush these things. That disc could be anything. If I don't like the look of it I'll eject it once that bloke has sat down and made himself comfortable. Ah yes. It is a blu-ray disc. I'll tell him that on the screen in case he didn't know, while I search around for the software to play it."On the plus side regular DVDs look better upscaled on HDMI. I know this seems illogical but it is so. I think it is because a good upscaler smooths the jagged edges of the SD image so that the HD image looks better even though there is not any more detail.
I am the only one on this blog who knows wtf Tony just said. And, I wouldn't bother until HDbaseT makes HDMI 1.4a or any other letter obsolete, leaving it wandering vacant, with a hint of sadness, like a drunk who's lost a bet.
Not for the first time, I've no idea what anyone is saying to me right now.
Yes, HDbaseT would seem to shoot the legs from under HDMI. Just plug anything to anything with a LAN cable.Meanwhile it is a treat to shove an HDMI lead into a laptop and the other end into a projector and find that without doing anything else they talk to each other, compare notes and hey presto there is a nice full screen image on the screen. Magic.
Tony, my Blu Ray player gets confused too, always manages to play whatever I put in it in the end though.Incredible Suit, I am 12 and I don't understand.- this is in reference to your love of Charlie's Angels btw ;D
All the Star Wars pictures are to be released in Blu-ray. Will they join your Bantha Tracks and other Jedi material? Will this 'Force' you into buying a Blu-ray player?“Mos Eisley spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.”“You’ve never heard of the Millennium Falcon? … It’s the ship that made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs.”"Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?"You will re-live it all in glorious HD in the comfort of your own home.
